Two softly glowing lavender jadeite drops, each hand-carved by a master artisan in Hong Kong into an openwork cloud-and-gourd silhouette, hang from vivid green jadeite cabochon studs set in 18K white gold. Unlike machine laser-cut jade, which is flat, every curve here is sculpted by hand — giving the piece real three-dimensional depth and softly bevelled edges that catch light from every angle. Wear the full drops for occasions, or detach them and wear the green studs on their own every day.

Symbolism & Inspiration

 紫气东来 — "purple aura rising from the east" — recalls the legend of the gatekeeper Yin Xi, who saw a purple glow on the horizon and knew a sage was coming: Laozi himself . Ever since, purple light has signified blessings, wisdom and noble fortune arriving at one's door. The gourd form (葫芦, hulu) echoes 福禄 — fortune and prosperity — while the swirling openwork evokes auspicious clouds carrying good things your way.
